Originally, i shall keep sharing 1/72 AFV, but seems too few interested in that kind of model kits in HKML, so let share the latest Japanese model kit that i just finished. This is my second air-brush product, a big scale, space killer, low QC, but elegant mech from Volks. Knight of Gold appears in the first book of Five Star Stories. It has fantastic details and color scheme, looks like a medieval knight wearing golden armor and crown...

Thanks for friend support, i have chance to use/practice air-brush after my long term of hand painting. This time i adjusted the color mix of golden which applied on HM Auge before. This formula may feel a little bit complicated. But I want a golden is high particle, yellow tone, with different reflection colors. So i use Mr Color rough gold as base, combine with yellow gold to control color, add red/blue gold to enrich reflection. What do you feel of the result? Do my theory correct?

I airbrush the custom gold in his workshop, in the meantime hand paint the skeleton with gun metal cum dry brush deep silver at home, then touch up the white, red, green and apply water decals after assemble the parts. To maintain the effect of gold, I haven't spray gloss topcoat to protect it, hence it may oxidize in the future.

For me, i feel overall QC of volks IMS just similar to wave or mainland illegal model kits, but it has the most beautiful MH in the market from its resin kit series ... You may ask why only build BUST? Since i have two ver of KOG, one -w bow, one -w buster launcher. But volks doesn't provide parts to assembly both shape of shoes. Therefore i reserve the high heels shoes, bow, and long tassel for next time. But i think i will buy and build 1/144 ver directly ...

that two took in workshop, the lamp is closer  (~30cm) to KOG, last one is took at home, the lighting at ceiling.
i feel the color show at home is more accurate. if i take photo in direct sunlight, may has that level of gloss reflection?

yes, quite expensive for practicing material. therefore, next one won't be FSS.
also, price of japanese model kit become quite friendly if you buy miniature / bust too.

do you know the price of the dreadnought shown in your LEO post?
it is £42.50 and in 14 exchange rate, i.e. ~HK$ 600 for a monochrome <SD size model kit.

IMS ver has joints could rotate, adjust pose. also, its weight only 1/3 of resin ver.

btw, even VOLKS knows bust has markets.
