Hi, AMG, which brand is this car? I have one similar which is second hand from Sutdio 27 (9800 yen). I'm eager to build it but have no confidence now....

           First of all, thanks your admiration for Mclaren, same as you, the brand of  my car is also studio 27 (first production 96'), in my opinion, this

    car's quality is too raw and rough, over all, this kit is very poor level, if you look it carefully with heart, you will find out so many mistakes on it ,

    e.g.:  A pillar is too narrow, windows are unfitted to the body, decal problems, wrong tires, left and right hand side are not symmetrical, the

    headlights is one big/one small, the body height on left & right hand side is not same, so it will affect the ground clearance on both side, bad

    quality rear wing, side skirts are adnormal bent in shape ......etc,  so I am afraid of even though you got self-confidence is not enough to

    complete this car, meanwhile  you must combine with well-handled material, skill and photo research. I spent several years to complete my car,

    if I didn't use real car paint and top clear coat, I deeply believe the white color became yellowish white before I finish it up.

    Finally, wish you could also complete your dream car someday and thank you your question.       bye !

It is great to have you here  because we have been admiring this great model car for a while.
May I ask you more about the real car paint that you use:
1.what brand is it?
2what kind of primer should i use with it?
3Can I use it on plastic model?

多問題個問題~ 如果係車尾的鉄網上做番個wash效果會唔會更好更有立體感呢？

    1.  according to our verbal commitment with supplier, I can not open the actual brand name and even color code of the base coat,

          the final top clear coat is Benz product, it give us not only brilliant brightness but also outstanding wet look shine that you never

          forget once you looking at. I wonder which brand you ever used  and how much you know about the real car paint ?

    2.   1k primer is enough to handle basic use.

    3.   general speaking, some of them can do that.
   
           Again, Philipks, I don't mind what you ask too much, only the question that I can reply.  see.

Thankyou so much for answering my question.  
Actually I know nothing about real car paint. It has been mentioned in this forum, but I believed it is the first finished model that used that. Thats why I m so excited.  It is like "the legend is real!"
I think I should do some research first to give myself some basic concept about car paint. I m sure I will have tons of question to ask you after that!
