Hello all.

This is the Sd.Kfz 247.  I built this last year.  This is a full resin kit.  Unfortunately the quality is really bad.  I have to scratch build 50% of it.  I hope you like.

The company is called Soverign 2000.  The kit is full of airbubbles and the details are cast in metal.  All the fenders are cracked so I have to use styrene to build.  The straps are resculpted and the details are replaced my Tamiya kit.

Took me one month to buld and that is a long time!  I dont recommand this kit to anyone but this is the only company that have this version.  If you want to build this I ask you please be prepared.

I paid 80 USD for this kit.  It was big disappointment!!

Photo-etch is not available for this kit.  Besides PE fender is too thin in my opinion.

This car is very rare.  Only few ever produced.  I like prototype and rare subject so sometimes is difficult to find reference.

Sd.Kfz is 247 is for reconniance.  They use this vehicle in Africa, east, and west in Europe during the early war.  It is later replace buy the versatile Sd.Kfz 222 and 223.

Brother Joe,  The tarp is in resin.  But can make my own tarps.  I will post the work on how to make a tarp later for my scopedog.  Please give me some time.

You are right.  It's too heavy for my taste.  Recently I switch to dark highlight like the one in VK4502.

Maybe when I have time I will go back and correct the problem.  The color of the tarp is also too heavy for me.  Thanks for point that out.  It really makes me happy to have honest discussion with a fellow modeler.

This is the only reason I post my work on the forum.  To have extra eyes to catch what I can not see.  This is how I improve.
