First of all, are U buying the fake kits??
Mine was original ones from Kaiyodo.
The Original kits are using soft black rods and cylinders which allow the joints to be built more easily. So I don't encounter any problem.
Though the movement is smooth, the paint can easily be scratched off if you are not careful enough.
Besides the assembling of the knee joints and elbow joints  is most difficult part. You will need to push 4 rods of ~2-5 cm in length into the elbow and knee joints, you might get your paint scratched during the proceedure.
