F-1 原最新傳出寶馬會係繼本田之後的....

  F1 braced for BMW exit announcement  

BMW's future in Formula 1 is in serious doubt amid mounting speculation that the German car manufacturer will announce its withdrawal from the sport at the end of this season, on Wednesday.

An emergency press conference has been called at BMW's headquarters in Munich, where it is suggested that the car company may reveal that it has decided to end its involvement in F1.

The invite to the press conference said it had been called because of 'current developments in motor sport.'

The press conference will be hosted by Dr. Norbert Reithofer, the chairman of the BMW board, Dr. Klaus Draeger, the director for development, and Mario Theissen, BMW motorsport director. The presence of such senior management figures suggests that the announcement will be very significant.

Officials at BMW refused to comment about what the press conference was about, but they did confirm that it was 'important' news.

However, sources suggest that a review meeting was planned for July to decide the future of the team - and this may be behind any announcement planned for the morning.

Should BMW confirm it is pulling out of the sport, it will be the second car manufacturer to do so in eight months - with Honda having announced last December that it was to leave the sport.

The announcement will be more of a surprise, however, because BMW Sauber was on the verge of signing a Concorde Agreement that would have committed the team to F1 until the end of 2012.

一字咁淺,錢作怪,不合成本效益,投入咁多錢,無成績事小,做不到市場推廣就事大,經濟又未轉好,("綠芽"?? 先看看實體經濟先,有乜指引??一定係失業率、セ有好過咩  )d錢係咁倒入咸水海、股東不嘈才怪。都係将d錢放入wtcc好過、在Motor Sport上、越小廠隊參與就越係好事

BMW will quit F1 at the end of 2009


且! 都唔好玩嘅, 咁短癮 ( 咁快 confirm, 冇得再吹....)

The news was confirmed at a press conference in Munich this morning, and comes on the back of a disappointing campaign for the outfit.

Dr. Norbert Reithofer, chairman of the BMW board, said that the decision was made after a refining of the company's future strategy.

"Of course, this was a difficult decision for us. But it's a resolute step in view of our company's strategic realignment," he said.

"Premium will increasingly be defined in terms of sustainability and environmental compatibility. This is an area in which we want to remain in the lead. In line with our Strategy Number ONE, we are continually reviewing all projects and initiatives to check them for future viability and sustainability. Our Formula 1 campaign is thus less a key promoter for us.

"Mario Theissen has been in charge of our motor sports program since 1999. We have scored a large number of successes in this period, including some in Formula 1 racing. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mario Theissen and his team for this."

BMW motorsport director Mario Theissen, who spearheaded the company's efforts as an engine supplier with Williams and then later with BMW Sauber, said he understood the reasons behind the withdrawal.

"Of course, we, the employees in Hinwil and Munich, would all have liked to continue this ambitious campaign and show that this season was just a hiccup following three successful years," he said. "But I can understand why this decision was made from a corporate perspective. We will now focus sharply on the remaining races and demonstrate our fighting spirit and put in a good result as we bid farewell to Formula 1 racing."

Dr. Klaus Draeger, member of the board who is responsible for development, said this season's poor results had played a part in the move to quit F1.

"It only took us three years to establish ourselves as a top team," he said. "Unfortunately, we were unable to meet expectations in the current season.

"Nevertheless, our ten years of Formula 1 experience have had a major impact on our development engineers. We have racing to thank for numerous technological innovations as well as the competitive spirit that drives us to develop mass-produced cars."

不認終須認, 冇成績當然唔掂, 但致命傷是衰到貼地 ( 廠隊計是包尾!) 不是和舊年的本田成績好似嗎!?!?

空穴來風.......  難為豐田公關部門已唔知第幾次又再發聲明澄清 :-

Toyota moves to deny quit rumours

Toyota has moved to deny speculation that it is poised to follow BMW out of Formula 1 at the end of 2009.

Amid widespread suggestions that BMW's departure from the sport will be followed by another manufacturer imminently, rumours have revolved around Toyota.

This has been prompted by the fact that Toyota has not yet signed the Concorde Agreement that would tie it to F1, and the team's F1 president John Howett is in Japan at the moment discussing strategy with the Japanese car manufacturer's chiefs.

However, a spokesman for the Toyota Motor Corporation has dismissed any talk that Toyota is considering its future in F1, with its Concorde Agreement signature expected to be confirmed in the next few days.

"Through cost reduction we will continue our Formula 1 activities," said the spokesman. "Our situation remains unchanged.

新浪体育讯 F1车队协会(FOTA)表示将帮助宝马撤资之后的车队遗骸继续参与F1运动,并保留其会员资格。为了让未来的F1更具魅力,FOTA考虑每支车队增加第三辆赛车参赛。

北京时间7月29日16:00,德国汽车制造商宝马在慕尼黑召开新闻发布会,宣布将在2009赛季结束后退出F1。很快,F1车队协会发表官方声明,对宝马的退出决定做出评论。

“对于宝马今天的声明,FOTA车队立刻聚集商议并准备对这支以瑞士为基地的车队做出必要支援,他的(FOTA)会员身份是确信无疑的,将继续涉及F1运动。”FOTA在声明中写到。

FOTA并没有对支援宝马车队遗骸的承诺具体怎么执行做出详细解释。不过FOTA表示,他们正在对让未来F1变得更好看做出努力,并暗示明年可能让每支FOTA车队派三辆赛车参赛。

“值得一提的是FOTA已经开始了专业的工作,瞄准提高车迷的参与和提高F1的表现力。除此之外,一个可能很有趣的建议是增加第三辆赛车。”FOTA在生命中写到。“为了F1的未来,FOTA将寻求所有主要股东的意见以做交换和做决议。”

目前,FOTA成员车队包括法拉利、迈凯轮、雷诺、丰田、红牛、红牛二队、布朗GP和已经宣布退出F1的宝马-索伯车队。

Though it is true that the chapter Formula 1 has been closed for me since long and completely, it is also true that for loyalty reasons to the team I cannot ignore that unfortunate situation. BMW fails to find team buyer in time

Team boss Mario Theissen said it had been impossible to find a buyer for the team in such a short period of time.
"Since the announcement on 29 July of our strategic realignment, we have done everything in our power to reach a rapid agreement on the sale of the team based at Hinwil," said Theissen in a statement on Thursday.

"Regrettably, despite every effort, this has proved unsuccessful. The tight timeframe we faced simply did not allow us and the interested parties and investors enough time to find a solution for such a complex transaction. This means the team cannot sign the Concorde Agreement at present.

報導冇耐, 車隊前身的老闆 Peter Sauber 即刻反擊 :-

Sauber: BMW demands were too high

Peter Sauber has blamed BMW's demands for the failure of his negotiations to complete a takeover of the team. BMW was asking for much more money for the purchase of its Hinwil base - from which all the team's activities except powertrain development are run - than Sauber was willing to pay.

Sauber, who brought the team into Formula 1 in 1993 and retained a 20 percent stake after it was bought by BMW in 2005, said that had a deal been completed, he would have been able to sign the Concorde Agreement.

" I tried to launch a takeover and rescue of the team," Sauber said.

"However, the negotiations with BMW have failed because the demands were simply far too high for me. Consequently, I have been unable to sign the Concorde Agreement, which guarantees payments worth millions and would have secured the future of the team."

"Other solutions must now be sought. The responsibility for that lies in the hands of BMW. Needless to say, I am willing to help, as before."

原來在星架玻站, 豐田通知了 Sutil 可以 "自由轉會" ........Trulli (09年季後便約滿) 完全冇傾過績約.......

好鬼似嘞!!!

Timo Glock was informed by his Toyota boss John Howett that the option on his contract to include the 2010 season will not be taken up by the Japanese team.

The information was reported by the German publications Sport Bild as well as newspapers Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) and Bild-Zeitung.

A spokesman for the Cologne based team also confirmed the news.

But with Jarno Trulli's future also in the air, the news might be seen as yet more evidence that parent company Toyota Motor Co. intends to pull the plug at the end of the season.
