Yes your right i am dong the Wash Technique , and i use the Zippo Fluid to thing the Enamel paint, seems working ok I can't find X20 Thinner in Canada anymore
and when i use the Enamel's thinn ...
I used to live in Canada too, I lived in Calgary ten years ago for eight years. Actually, I never bought any paint while I was there. I did my shopping while I's back for the summer. But I remember some hobby stores did sell X20. Perhaps the law has changed since then. Environmental laws are tighter even everywhere on this planet, even Hong Kong. Since X20 will gives off organic vapour, perhaps it just could not be imported anymore. If you can't find any X20, use turpentine then. You can find artist quality turpentine at the local art supplies store. It is commonly used to thin oil color. It thins enamel just as well. I know that turpentine can't thin Hobby Color acrylic, but I haven't try if it will dissolve acrylic when it is dry 'cos I mostly use the lacquer base Mr. Color instead. Beware the smell of turpentine, it smells just like 獅子油.
